Nomination Process A candidate may be nominated by anyone. The executive director handles inquiries about the nomination procedure. Nominations are received officially/logged and dated by the executive director who will notify the Hall of Fame Chair. What is necessary for the nomination to be accepted by the Hall of Fame Chair? |
The following information must be complete in order for the nomination to be officially brought to the Hall of Fame Committee for consideration.
1. Nominee's name, address, and phone # 2. Sponsor name, address, and phone # 3. Relationship to nominee 4. A one/two page sponsor letter of recommendation 5. A completed Hall of Fame data form To Be Considered for Nomination ***An active coach of 20+ years may be nominated.*** Candidate must be duly nominated Candidate must have been a head coach for a minimum of 10 years in Vermont. All required paperwork must be in order and on file with the Executive Director. |
Data form to contain
Name of Coach Name of school or (s) and years as varsity coach Coaching record as a head coach at each school Overall record as head coach including college ranks Championships (league, state, runner up, etc) Basketball coaching honors received (Coach of Year, etc.) Years of coaching as assistant or other level (JV, Frosh, JH) Coaches Association involvement (VCA, VBBCA, VBCA, active member Committee member, officer, Executive Board Contributions to game (clinics, camps, youth programs) Deadline for nomination, third Monday of December- to be considered for the following year's selection |
