Thank you for your interest in rules course offered by the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO), the premier basketball officiating organization in the world!
The course is comprised of 8 lessons and a student guide. The course is straightforward and easy to follow. You review a lesson and take the quiz in the student guide after each lesson. Once you are comfortable with that lesson you move on the next lesson until you complete the course.
The cost to access the course is $50. Once you have paid, you may access the course immediately with the Username and Password that you establish during registration. Remember you will have unlimited support from your specified mentor throughout the course.
You can go through the material at your own pace when you have time.
You will be fully supported with a mentor that will answer questions you may have as you go through the course.
You will have 3 months to complete the course and successfully pass the 50 question IAABO candidate exam. A full, detailed description of the course, its structure, and test requirements is available on the first page of the IAABO University site you will access via the provided link.

Passing the rules certification exam is only the first of two steps needed towards becoming an IAABO member. After passing the rules certification exam, a local board representative will advise you of any additional costs to prepare you for floor training. Upon successfully completing the floor training, a local board representative will inform you of the specific requirements to become a registered member of IAABO, Inc.
